I AM NO LONGER AN UNEMPLOYED BUM!!!!!!!!!
After over a year of searching for jobs and finally getting my second certification, today I was offered two positions to teach ESL. Both positions were at middle schools, one was for six grade and LEP students, the other was for both seventh and eighth ELLs. I think I even surprised myself in taking the sixth grade position. The principal made her school feel like home. Her tour of the building reminded me of when a kooky guidance counselor gave a me a tour of Burnt Hills. I left that interview and today's thinking, "if everyone in this building is as nice as they are, I can see myself really liking it here."
Now... trying to figure out how to co-teach six grade math... we'll save that for a whoooooole 'nother blog. ;)
Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How bad can 6th grade math be. My motto from my first year, just stay 1 chapter ahead of the kids and you will be fine!!!
